Artist Statement
I’m often struck by how much our lives are dictated by irrational thinking. Nothing makes sense, since we can’t agree on reality. Sometimes, the only way I can gain perspective is by drawing.
My drawings use strange forms and bizarre juxtapositions to process the absurd nature of modern living. I view humor as a measure of perception. A good joke can feed my practice for weeks—double that for bad ones.
When I find myself confused or amused by what we call “normal,” the best thing I can do is draw.
